Barro Artisan Women Figurine

These beautiful Woman Figurines were handmade with red clay from Chinautla, Guatemala. Clay is made from red mud, handmolded, dried for days in sunlight until it's prepared for cooking in an underground kiln. No artificial colors or dyes are used. 

These pieces represent a significant task in many Latin American countries, a cultural heritage, tradition and hardworking spirit in these communities. Each woman figure is holding a baby and elements on their heads as representation of their hardworking.

These pieces were made by a very talented group of artisan from Chinautla, Guatemala.  

*All the babies and women have different positions on their hands. 

NOTE: Due to the nature of handcrafted goods, each piece may differ slightly in size, shape, and color - that's the beauty of handmade!  Small cracks or little imperfections in the product are normal due to the natural baking and drying process of the clay. Each piece is meticulously checked before shipping it out to you.
